The skinny is a quick snapshot of the mashup of thoughts, experiences, & coolness going on in my world.
Right now the skinny has a Korean flair because, well... I’m living in Seoul, S. Korea. I’m here teaching English and exploring the part of the world. My kids have become a saving grace and a source of comedy. I’ve met some wonderful people who have introduced me to new things. I’m so glad I’m having this experience.
So feel free to share some stuff and I’ll post it here.
the skinny... the Korean edition
super cute Korean find
I just got the cutest planner from the Kyobo bookstore in Gangnam. So many options, and colors and so cheap!
I think I got it for ₩9,000.
fave Korean dish
I am enjoying mandu guk right now. It’s a yummy soup made of beef dumplings and broth. It’s salty and soothing. Heavenly, especially on a cold day.
I went zip-lining for the first time and was freaked out! I went flying in Gangwon-do province But I also had a good time. Here’s a snippet of my adventure. (FYI, there’s some bad language, but I was scared!) Enjoy!
So at the last Manam meetup I made dukboki . It was delish. Check out my photos to see how it turned out. You can see it in Life in Korea Part 2

So Korea has all of these themed coffee houses and cute cafes. Latest one I checked out (AGAIN) was Cafe Bene. I had a super yummy caramel cinnamon bread dessert.

So my great friend Chris keeps a comical, yet true blue blog regarding his observations in life. He lives and SoCal which gives him more than enough content to write about. Check it out at chrislovesugly.
After a long trip to the Land of Morning Calm, I got to enjoy a cup of tea in a Korean tea house!!
don’t forget...
